Happy Halloween

Here are some pictures from Halloween 2010. Keith was a mummy this year. I thought I did pretty well on his costume, considering I started it the day before! Here are some outside pictures as well.

October 2010

Keith went to Monkey Joe's with his cousing Maisie while Mom was visiting at the end of September. He really enjoyed it. We'll have to go back again soon. It was quite a workout for mom as well, chasing him around and helping him into the slides and stuff. He's not quite steady enough on his feet yet in big bouncy things!

Keith and Nathan went with his parents and our niece and nephew to Stoney Creek pumpkin patch this week. He had fun running around like a wild man. He also went to story time at the library today. He's pretty reserved out in public until he warms up a bit. He loves climbing on the couch, although he hasn't quite mastered getting down every time. He loves being outside whenever he can and brings you his shoes and says, "side." He gives lots of kisses and is starting to give hugs when you ask for a squeeze. He's still my super sweet boy.

My friend Lynn requested an update. Keith is almost 16 months old now. He runs around the house like a wild man. He talks a lot and currently has an obsession with Thomas the Train. He has a really good appetite and eats most things in general, although he loves cookies ("caaa" = Nilla Wafers) and most things that are sweet. He dances and "sings" a bit. He loves the song Barbara Ann by the Beach Boys, I think. Grandma and Grandpa Valentine sing it to him in the car, so he always smiles when you sing it to him. He responds with a "Baa Bee." I know all these pictures are in his high chair, but otherwise when he's mobile he's trying to grab the camera from you!!

First Swim

Keith went for his first swim on the 4th of July. He loved it!! He's also taken a few steps, but not quite fully walking yet. He's getting there. I also put in a picture of Abram, Keith's cousin. He'll be 1 in September. They'll have a lot of fun as they grow up together.

The Swing

Keith loves his swing. He just laughs and laughs when you put him in it. Then he gets sleepy by the end! I think he's just about ready to walk. He cruises on furniture and whatever else he can grab, and he's pretty fast about it. I try to make him walk to me, but it's more of a diving kind of thing. He knows where his belly, ears and toes are. He asks, "What's this?" all the time. Still loves to read. He's so sweet.

Happy 1st Birthday Keith!!

Keith turned 1 on May 8, 2010. He had a big party with all his loved ones there. My mom and I made a little cake just for him. I wasn't sure what he'd do, but he dug right in! He got a lot of books and he loves the couple of toy trucks he got. They are definitely his favorite gifts. He also got a lot of clothes for the summer. He has 11 teeth now! He says flower, mama,dad, dog, Lyla, Blue, quack, bear, and belly. He crawls very fast and stands up on things all the time. No actual walking yet though. I didn't get too many pictures because I was busy opening his presents and giving him his cake, but here are a few. He's so sweet. I couldn't ask for a better child.

11-months-old today!

The only time I get really good pictures is when he's immobilized in his high chair! So here are some good ones. Keith knows sign language for "bird" and "light." He always wants to look out the window or go outside. He's still a whisperer. Loves to pull up on the bathtub and bed, loves to waller in our bed. Loves to be chased while he's crawling. He's doing really well with going to bed without crying, even when he's still sort of awake, but tired.

10 1/2 months

Keith is growing so fast! He crawls everywhere now!! He's fast too. He loves playing peek-a-boo, jabbering non-stop, all day and night, and playing, playing, playing. He's a happy, happy baby. He has two more bottom teeth coming in right now, so now he'll have 4 top and 4 bottom. He had his first haircut this weekend.
