Getting Big

Keith is 6 1/2 weeks old. We had to take him to the doctor because his belly button still wasn't quite healed underneath. He had a granuloma. It happens sometimes with belly buttons. Kind of like scar tissue. They put silver nitrate on it and it should fall off like the rest of it did in a few days. He weighs 11 lb 2 oz! I should say he's getting enough to eat.

5 Weeks Old Today

Keith is five weeks old today. We've been going for walks in the stroller which he really enjoys. I gave him a bottle for the first time this week too and he took it with no problem. He sleeps at night from about 10 until 4 or 5, so that gives mom a good chunk of sleep. He's not much for sleeping in too much after that though. Maybe next week we'll see how he does in his crib in his own room. We might both sleep better, even though I'll miss having him by my side.

One Month Already

Keith turned one month old this past Friday. He's growing so fast. He weighs 9 lb 2 oz now and is pretty much out of his newborn sized clothes. Makes me a little sad. I can tell he's getting bigger, especially when he's laying on his changing table or just when I'm holding him. He's my sweet little guy.

Keith is still a really good baby. No hours long crying jags lately. He still naps during the day and sleeps most of the night. He's really strong, I think, and has really good control of his neck and head and can turn it from one side to the other if he's on his tummy. He makes more cooing noises now and is so fun to sit and watch. He has the funniest expressions. I call him my drunkard after he eats because he just sits there with his little belly all full with is hands down at his sides, eyes closed.
